✝️ My Testimony
By Willie T. Ayers – A Veteran for Christ
“I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation…” — Romans 1:16
"God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good."
A Message to All Who Read
Blessings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I don’t have degrees in theology or storytelling. I’ve never trained in writing. But I’ve lived through fire. And through every trial, miracle, and dark valley, God’s hand has held me firm. He’s called me to share this testimony—not for applause, but for His glory.
This is a witness of truth. Of redemption. Of healing. Of grace. Some stories here may seem unbelievable—but each one is a testament to a God who makes the impossible possible.
🙌 God’s Hand Was on Me—Even Then
I’m a U.S. Army veteran. I’ve been diagnosed with service-connected disabilities—PTSD among them. But my identity isn’t in the diagnosis. I am a Veteran for Christ, a soldier in the army of faith. My strength doesn’t lie in medals or rank—it flows from the One who saved me.
September 27, 1963 — I was just 9 years old in Cleveland, Ohio, when a car speeding over 90 miles per hour struck me. My body shattered. Internal bleeding. Nearly every bone broken. Doctors gave up hope. But my mother, a warrior in prayer, dropped to her knees and cried out to God—joined by intercessors full of faith.
God heard. God answered. I lived.
💥 The Enemy Tried—But God Protected
• 1965 — A truck exploded while I sat inside. My brother lit a match. Fire roared. I was blown out of my shoe—without a scratch.
• Military Service:
• A flipped M113 APC—left with a scar.
• An M60 fired feet from me—untouched.
• A live grenade dropped—I threw it before it exploded.
• A totaled car in Germany—walked away unbruised.
Satan tried to take me out—but my God is stronger.
🍔 From Wandering to Divine Direction
Post-service, I spiraled. Alcohol gripped me. I drifted between motels. No job. No direction. But one day at In-N-Out Burger, an elderly man approached me. Asked if I needed work. The next day, he hired me.
That was no coincidence.
That was divine appointment.
💞 God Gave Me Deanna
My wife. My anchor. My blessing.
Before vows were spoken, Deanna stood beside me when I couldn’t stand. She didn’t just support me—she guided me back to Christ. Today, as I live with physical challenges, she remains a living testimony of God’s unconditional love.
Jesus never promised ease—but He did promise we would never walk alone.
⚕️ Affliction Met With Faith
Between 1999 and 2009, I endured:
• Surgeries on my foot, hand, and knees
• Blackouts, dizziness, and spinal fluid buildup
• A spinal surgery (Thoracic laminectomy)
• Diagnosis of gout
• Multiple hernia operations
• A recent brain bleed
I was struck again and again—but God kept me standing.
I also walked through a season of heavy grief:
In one decade, I lost my mother, two sisters, two brothers, two cousins, two uncles, and two aunts. The weight was crushing. But God’s grace became my foundation.
✨ Why I Still Stand
Because God isn’t finished with me yet.
Because His power is real.
Because I’ve lived through too many miracles to ever turn back.
Because Jesus saved me—not once, but over and over again.
🙏 A Personal Prayer Request
Please lift my beloved sister, Eva Lee, in your prayers. She is my last living sibling, diagnosed with lymphoma in the neck and chest. As of October 27, 2009, she was doing well. We trust God’s will and celebrate His mercy.
🕊 In Closing
Every breath I take proves His goodness.
I’m not perfect—but I am forgiven.
I’m not strong alone—but Christ is my strength.
This testimony is just a glimpse of His work in my life. If you're broken, if you're lost, if you feel forgotten—know this:
God sees you.
God loves you.
God is not done with you.
“With His stripes, we are healed.” — Isaiah 53:5
“All things are possible to those who believe.” — Mark 9:23

🙏 A Prayer of Redemption and Renewal
Heavenly Father,
You are the God who redeems, who restores, who revives.
You lift the broken from the dust, and breathe life where there was once despair.
Lord, I come before You not in strength—but in surrender.
I lay before You the pain of my past, the scars of battles fought, and the weight of all I could not carry.
Forgive me, Lord, for the times I wandered…
For the moments I reached for a bottle instead of Your hand…
For the nights I let grief silence the voice of praise.
But I know this truth: Your love never let me go.
Even when I was lost, You pursued me.
Even when I fell, You lifted me.
Even when I felt forgotten—You called me by name.
Now, Lord Jesus, redeem every moment.
Use every wound to witness Your healing.
Let my life tell a story not of defeat—but of deliverance.
Let the fire refine me—not destroy me.
I claim the victory of the cross.
I receive the power of resurrection.
And I walk forward, not as a victim—but as a redeemed child of the Most High God.
Let Your Spirit overflow in me.
Let others see Your glory through my testimony.
And let everything I’ve been through give hope to someone else still waiting for their breakthrough.
In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray—Amen.
